Description:
The Print Production Coordinator is dedicated to supporting the print department staff and coordinating all elements of the print cycle.



Primary job functions include, day-to-day trouble shooting, tracking, investigating and reporting print order information and activities, customer service, intra-departmental questions and concerns, and proactively resolving problems. The Print Production Coordinator is responsible for shepherding a print project from beginning to end. Under the direction of the Print Production Manager, the Coordinator is responsible for scheduling, quality control and tracking for all the Print Department’s orders.

Print Production Manager



DUTIES:

- Coordinates all orders and personally enters orders for print production including PI Creative Art and PI Fine Art orders

- Assists with colour correction and print proofs

- Sizes and sends images for external print sources

- Assists in processing overflow of SO’s and Custom Publishing orders in regards to set-ups

- Checks images for size and resolution for sales & gallery

- Monitors inventory and checks stock levels, ink, and media supplies.

- Downloads and archives client supplied files

- Downloads and purchases images and enhanced licenses, including providing details summary for Accounts payable

- Reviews and assigns orders to the appropriate print personnel

- Advises CSR’s on Work Orders with mistakes, and is responsible for correcting those errors in a timely manner

- Provides assistance and guidance, with regard to due dates, lead times, project tracking and problems

- Accommodates and organizes rush orders for clients as required

- Communicates information to team and relevant project updates to the print staff

- Attends Press Approvals as needed



ACCOUNTIBILITY

- Maintains the flow of communication between their Sales Reps, Clients and the various departments at PI

- Communicates and reports on the status of projects and points out areas for required escalation to Print Production Manager

- Aims for 100% accuracy in completing Purchase Order entry



SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Power Point/Outlook), Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat

- Superior data entry skills

- 2 years’ experience production management role preferred

- Must be well organized, have exceptional follow-up and follow-through skills and be able to work in fast-paced environment

- Must have exceptional multi-tasking, prioritization and interpersonal skills.

- Strong attention to detail, well organized

- Strong analytical, reasoning and numeracy skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Excellent customer service skills

- Professional phone manner

- Able to work effectively in a team environment

- Committed to ongoing skills development
