Are you looking to develop your career in Bindery in Print Manufacturing? This is fantastic opportunity to be a Gatherer Operator on some of the most advanced bindery equipment in Canada?
Required Skills & Experience:
Previous relevant print manufacturing experience (1 – 2 years)
Secondary/High School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
Depth of knowledge and skill in bindery processes
Ability to work all 8 hours shifts on a rotating basis (days, afternoon, nights)
Strong problem solving skills
Sound decision making skills
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Prepare by putting the paper on the gatherer and adjusting the timing on the gatherer.
Organizes current and upcoming jobs to decrease equipment downtime.
Organizes crew and sets daily expectations for workflow.
Set up machine to ensure optimum machine settings for a variety of different formats.
Watch orientation and jog components before feeding.
Remove damaged components before feeding into the gatherer.
Feed components into pockets.
Load pockets to appropriate heights.
Ensure correct components are fed into the Gatherer.
