Are you looking to develop your career in Bindery in Print Manufacturing? This is fantastic opportunity to be a Head Packer whose job is to set up packaging area and pack books during runs!

Required Skills & Experience:

Basic mathematical skills is a must

Previous print manufacturing experience is an asset

Works well in a team environment and/or independently

Ability to work all 8 hours shifts on a rotating basis (days, afternoon, nights) and continental 12 hour rotating shift

Secondary/High School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent

Able to set up packing area and pack books during runs

Able to set up machinery

Excellent ability to stay organized and pay attention to detail

Excellent at carrying out work instructions and able to ask questions

Key Responsibilities:

Obtain cartons, skids, skid tags, and carton labels required for orders

Place books in compensated piles and pack into cartons without damaging them

Stuff and close cartons as required without damaging books

Set up automatic tape machine for each order

Apply tape and labels to cartons

Pile full cartons onto skids in sequential order

Maintain carton storage area

Complete visual inspection of books prior to packaging

Remove books with inaccurate trimming, folded pages, excess glue or bad printing

Ensures labels have all required information (ISBN)
