We are looking for a top performer with sales experience in the university press. The Account Executive is responsible for managing and growing our business with traditional and non-traditional Canadian and USA university presses. This role will focus on managing and growing existing university presses’ relationships as well as prospecting to develop new customer relationships. He/she will work closely with Webcom’s extended team to develop ‘go-to-market sales plans’ to sell Webcom’s products/solutions meeting customer requirements and exceed competitor offerings.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3 to 5 years University Press experience
Sales experience is preferred but not required
Minimum 3 years customer facing experience
Must have driver’s license and own a vehicle
Business travel up to 15% of the time may be required
Diploma or Degree or equivalent experience is required
Strong communication and presentation skills
Exposure to CRM Dynamics is an asset
Location will be determined – North Eastern US & Canada preferred
Develops a thorough understanding of the business models and strategies of the assigned accounts and target university press publishing markets within their territory (to become familiar with the industry key players, trends, products, challenges, and competition). Develops university press publishers’ profiles for various product lines, geographic markets, and publishers.
Works with customers’ decision makers to understand their business challenges and proposes Webcom’s products/solutions that address clients’ needs and expectations.
Develops insightful account plans capitalizing on Webcom’s core competencies and capabilities that address university press publishers’ goals and KPI’s; Recommends strategy and documents plan. Provides project leadership, execution and follow up. Grows Webcom’s business within assigned territory.
Understands how Webcom solutions/products may benefit customers and work with extended Webcom team to develop proposals based on the customers’ business requirements. Identifies new prospects and competitor shortfalls.
Prepares annual, quarterly and monthly sales forecast plans that align with Webcom’s Business Plan and receives management approval.
Builds long standing relationship with the customers and new prospects. Develops new Webcom opportunities within new and existing accounts and drive them to the successful conclusion.
Documents, manages and maintains all sales contacts and related account information in CRM.
