Are you looking to develop your career in Digital Print manufacturing? This role is ideal for someone who has experience in a print production environment! The Digital Folder Operator is responsible for operating off-line finishing equipment, both the GEP and LaserMax. He/she is responsible for producing the paper product requested by customers, and ensuring that their needs are met.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Previous print manufacturing experience

- Previous press running experience

- Secondary/High School Diploma(OSSD) or equivalent

- Folding equipment experience

- Cut sheet finishing equipment experience

- Machine set up experience preferably in a print environment

- Mechanical aptitude

- Ability to work nights

- Strong problem solving ability

Key Responsibilities:

- Read, understand and follow orders

- Lift and stack heavy book blocks efficiently in an organized manner

- Correct any problems with book blocks

- Complete skid tags from work orders

- Prepare rolls and feeding paper to the digital finishing equipment (the GEP and LaserMax)

- Monitor the status of rolls to ensure that Webcom is producing high quality products

Check copies to ensure that standards are met, eg. colour, trim, page numbers, readability etc.

- Various maintenance duties including maintaining a clean work area in preparation for other crew members on the next shift

- Responsible for training of Digital Helpers on finishing equipment (the GEP and LaserMax) and on manufacturing databases
