About this opportunity
Under the direction of the Prepress Supervisor, this position is responsible for the preparation and separation of supplied files for print on packaging.
What you will do
Preflight and preparation of print ready files for release on Flexo, Litho and Gravure print processes, identifying any missing or problematic components to the CSR/Prepress Supervisor;
Quality Assurance of all digital files
When requested, modify supplied customer design files to fit final supplied dielines;
Work as part of a team, participating in the development of process/workflow improvements;
Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.
What you have to offer
Minimum Five (5) years experience in packaging prepress environment;
Experience with both Macintosh and PC (Windows) computer platforms and all relevant design software;
Strong understanding of printing processes (Flexo, Gravure & Litho printing);
Proficient in Esko Suite, Illustrator, Acrobat (Full Creative Suite a plus);
Experience with colour correction is an asset;
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills;
Fast learner, innovative thinker;
