Bindery Operator (Guillotine / Cutter Operator)
Printing Company – Concord, ON
Full-Time or Part-Time
We are seeking an experienced Bindery Operator whose primary responsibilities will be operating a 52" Polar guillotine cutter and Heidelberg die-cutting equipment. Experience with other commercial bindery equipment is considered a strong asset.
Responsibilities
• Set up and operate a 52" Polar guillotine cutter.
• Read job tickets and cut stock accurately to specification.
• Operate Heidelberg die-cutting equipment.
• Maintain quality standards and accurate counts.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Assist with other bindery operations as required.
Additional Experience (Preferred)
• MBO Folder
• Heidelberg Platen Press (die cutting, scoring, embossing, debossing & foil stamping)
• Heidelberg Cylinder Press (die cutting & scoring)
Qualifications
• 3+ years' experience in a commercial print bindery.
• Strong experience operating Polar cutters.
• Experience with die-cutting equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read production work orders and work independently.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
