Position Overview
Allegra Oakville is seeking a hands-on Production Associate to support all aspects of our print production operation. This role is responsible for operating digital and wide format equipment, completing bindery finishing, preparing jobs for shipment, receiving incoming materials, and ensuring work is produced accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and willing to learn multiple aspects of print production.
Wide Format Production
Print, trim, mount, laminate, and finish wide format graphics.
Produce posters, banners, signage, decals, display graphics, and related products.
Prepare files and materials for production as required.
Ensure accurate sizing, finishing, and quality control.
Bindery & Finishing
Cut, fold, score, drill, coil bind, saddle stitch, laminate, and package printed materials.
Complete finishing according to work order specifications.
Maintain quality standards throughout the finishing process.
Assist with specialty projects and custom finishing requirements.
Shipping & Receiving
Receive incoming deliveries and verify quantities.
Inspect materials for damage and accuracy.
Organize inventory and production materials.
Package completed jobs for delivery or shipment.
Coordinate courier pickups and freight shipments.
Maintain shipping records and tracking information.
General Production Duties
Prioritize workload based on production schedules.
Perform quality checks throughout production.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
Assist team members as needed to meet production deadlines.
Follow company procedures and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
Required
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Preferred
Experience in a print production environment.
Experience with digital printing equipment.
Experience with wide format printing and finishing.
Experience operating bindery equipment.
Forklift or pallet jack experience an asset.
Knowledge of print production workflows and materials.
